Shunichi Inoue (1946- ) is a Japanese potter who studied ceramics at Kyoto City University of Arts from 1969-75, then spent three years as a lecturer in ceramics at the Bendigo College of Advanced Education. He returned to Australia again in late 1984 as a visiting professor at Darwin Community College and also visited southern states at that time. In 1993, he made an extended stay at the Caulfield Campus of Monash University. During his time in Australia, he was an active exhibitor and had an important influence on Australian potters. Work may be signed 'S. Inoue' and he also has a Japanese character as a mark.
