Judy Boydell (1930- ) trained at East Sydney Technical College in the early 1970s. In her entries in the 1986 and 1988 directories, she is based at Wollstonecraft, NSW, making once-fired salt-glazed stoneware in a gas kiln, and furthering her studies part-time at ESTC. By 1990, she had moved to Erskinville, where she still lives and works, and had become interested in woodfiring with salt and ash glazes. For the last six years, she has been firing her work as part of a group, using a woodfire kiln at North Richmond, and she also has a close association with the woodfiring community at Gulgong. Her work is marked with an incised 'B'or 'Boydell'.
