Pam Sinnott is a NSW ceramic artist with a range of tertiary qualifications, starting with a Graduate Diploma of Art from Hunter Institute of Higher Education obtained in 1988 and culminating in a PhD from the University of Newcastle in 2005. She currently works as an associate professor at the University of Newcastle. Since 1995, she has been fascinated with kitchen utensil forms as metaphors for domestic labour. Her PhD exlored the use of digital technology to assist in the production of large murals. She signs her work, which ranges from production ware to large-scale installations, with a painted 'Sinnott'.
