Stephen Carter
Stephen Carter is a New Zealand potter. He trained with Harry and May Davis in Cornwall and came with them when they migrated to New Zealand in 1962. After helping them to set up their Crewenna pottery, he worked at Hanmer Pottery for a time,. In the early 1970s, he spent two years at Waimea Pottery. In 1974 he and his wife Zoe set up a pottery in Tahunanui in Nelson where they still live and work. Their work is marked with an impressed 'SC'.
