Greg Pitt
Greg Pitt trained as a draughtsman but became interested in pottery in 1966. He obtained a certificate in Ceramics and Design in 1974 and established a production workshop with his then partner Jackie Pitt in Macclesfield, SA, in 1975. He was a foundation member of the Potters' Guild of SA when it was formed in 1976 and later became its president and also Chair of the SA Arts Advisory Committee. In the early 1990s, he established a restaurant in Stirling, SA, with Sue Metzler. They moved to Tasmania in 1995 where they are still in the food production business. Pitt's mark in the 1981 and 1985 directories is an impressed P in a circle, but he also used impressed versions of 'Pitt', 'Greg Pitt' and 'Greg PItt Australia'.
