Peter Accadia was born in Italy, coming to Australia at the age of 7. He became interested in ceramics at the age of 13, attended Art School at RMIT in the late sixties and is still a practicing potter based in Eltham, VIC. His wife Noriko is Japanese, giving him a Japanese connection. He specialises in high-fired stoneware and porcelain thrown on the wheel and sometimes altered afterward. His mark is an impressed lowercase 'a' or an incised 'Accadia' or 'P. Accadia.
