Renata De Lambert is a NSW potter who trained at East Sydney Technical College and Phyllis Shillito Design School in the 1960s then furthered her studies during the 1970s by working in potteries in Germany and England. In the 1973 potters' directory, she is based in Wollstonecraft but by 1977 had relocated to Maianbar on the outskirts of southern Sydney. Working predominantly in wheel-thrown reduced stoneware, she has exhibited widely in both Sydney and Canberra and has also received prizes for her work at Sydney's Royal Easter Show on almost an annual basis since 1966. Travels to Mexico, South America, Kenya and Tanzania are reflected in the decoration of some of her work. She has also occasionally assembled thrown pieces into sculptural forms and made wall plaques. She teaches two days per week at the Willoughby Workshop Arts Centre and has conducted workshops for Arts Centre students on raku and pit firing at Maianbar. Her work may be marked with a painted underlined 'rl'.
