Edward Carr Shaw (1914-2005) is a Tasmanian potter who set up a workshop at Howrah in Hobart in 1952. In 1956, he married Margaret Elliott and together they established the Shavian Pottery. They continued in full-time production until 1965 and continued potting well into the 1990s. The marks they used are documented in Ford's Encyclopaedia of Australian Potters' Marks .
