The Leach Pottery in St Ives, Cornwall, was founded in 1920 by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada, One of the world's most influential studio potteries, it has been a training place for many potters from the UK and elsewhere, including Australia. The pottery has now been converted into a working studio and museum. The pottery mark is a characteristic impressed 'SI'.
